On Being Ridiculous.
Fun fuels creativity...
Ridiculous Robots was started as brand to express the most playful and fun sides of product design. Rube-Goldberg-Esq machines, ironic robots, and anything else that delights and makes my customers giggle. We're developing a brand around the idea that frivolity has purpose. That play doesn't have to be just for kids. Thus Ridiculous Robots was born to help adults and kids alike to keep their creative fires alive, their sense of playfulness young, and a reminder to not take life too seriously.

Why I do what I do...
It was difficult to settle on what i've displayed here. These are the ideals I strive for. I don't believe these people are heroes or gods. Some people hate them, others love them. I just want to learn from whatever good things they've accomplished. I very much believe in swinging for the stars. That business is more than a way to pad my pockets to avoid pain. And that in the end we have one life to live. That regrets do little to energize us forward, and that hard work and passion for our daily activities is what makes the world a better place. Ridiculous Robots is another extension of my beliefs in these things. Imperfectly fun, and hopefully as delightful to you as they are to me.
Steve Jobs -

“When you grow up you tend to get told that the world is the way it is and your life is just to live your life inside the world. Try not to bash into the walls too much. Try to have a nice family life, have fun, save a little money. That's a very limited life. Life can be much broader once you discover one simple fact: Everything around you that you call life was made up by people that were no smarter than you. And you can change it, you can influence it… Once you learn that, you'll never be the same again.

“Stewart and his team put out several issues of The Whole Earth Catalog, and then when it had run its course, they put out a final issue. It was the mid-1970s, and I was your age. On the back cover of their final issue was a photograph of an early morning country road, the kind you might find yourself hitchhiking on if you were so adventurous. Beneath it were the words: “Stay Hungry. Stay Foolish.” It was their farewell message as they signed off. Stay Hungry. Stay Foolish. And I have always wished that for myself...”

“The people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world are the ones who do.”
Gary Vaynerchuk-

“People are chasing cash, not happiness. When you chase money, you’re going to lose. You’re just going to. Even if you get the money, you’re not going to be happy.”
"You have to understand your own personal DNA. Don’t do things because I do them or Steve Jobs or Mark Cuban tried it. You need to know your personal brand and stay true to it."

“Skills are cheap. Passion is priceless.”
"If you live for the weekends and vacations, your sh*t is broken"
Simon Sinek-

“The great leaders are not the strongest, they are the ones who are honest about their weaknesses. The great leaders are not the smartest; they are the ones who admit how much they don’t know. The great leaders can’t do everything; they are the ones who look to others to help them. Great leaders don’t see themselves as great; they see themselves as human.”

"Leading is not the same as being the leader. Being the leader means you hold the highest rank, either by earning it, good fortune or navigating internal politics. Leading, however, means that others willingly follow you—not because they have to, not because they are paid to, but because they want to."

"All organizations start with WHY, but only the great ones keep their WHY clear year after year."
