Advanced Useless Machine 2.0 Concept Rendering

Updated: Jul 29, 2018

The first early product renderings of the Advanced Useless Machine 2.0 are here! And while I'm disappointed to delay the development cycle of the most popular product so far. I want to get it right the first time, and not use my customers money to subsidize hasty design decisions.

Left: The old design of the Advanced Useless Machine 2.0. Right: The new design.

I was initially going to launch the Advanced Useless Machine 2.0™ with a laser cut plywood box. And while I love the maker look of a laser cut box. I knew I wasn't going to be able to get the manufacturing and assembly cost as low as I wanted.

With the design overhaul there are going to be some exciting new additions that aren't present in the Youtube video. Yep! He's got an angry red glowing eye. But even more exciting will be the 6 capacitive sensing switches he'll have. It's going to add a beautiful level of ridiculous anticipation capacity to his A.I.. Not only will he have even better brains and sensors, but he's also going to be able to be more compact. While I love a giant robot! The laser cut version was a bit unwieldy to play with because of how large it was.

As always i'm working hard to develop these guys and am looking forward to sharing more updates as they come.
